I'm Training!!

I'll get to next transfer in a moment, but I first want to tell you guys about how this last transfer ended. Thankfully it ended on a good note, though it didn't always look like it would. The first half of the week, I basically moped around. I won't go into detail, but I wasn't trying my best, or really at all for that matter. Then on Friday my district leader called me and told us that we were really close to our goals, but it would take a few  days of hard work. Once I heard that, my attitude changed. I finally understand what losing yourself in the work looks like. My focus was no longer on my own problems, but rather how to best further the missionary work in this area. After that change in thinking, we got a lot of good work done and I wasn't consumed with my own problems.

On Sunday, we got a call from President and he asked if I was willing to train. Obviously, I was. I'm so excited to be training. I've wanted to train since I was with Elder Titus. I don't know why I want to train so badly, but I don't care I'm just going to enjoy the excitement. I think a lot of the excitement comes from the amount of unknowns. My new companion is coming straight from the MTC so nobody knows anything about him. I don't know where he's from, if he was called to Utah or reassigned, if he's willing to work hard, if he's lived on his own before or if he'll be homesick, I don't know anything except for his name, Elder Whetten. Not a whole lot else happened this week. Not much to reflect on, but I have a lot to look forward to here in Clinton.

Ready for the next challenge, Elder Blacker
